Under contract until June 2026, AC Milan’s left-back Theo Hernandez (27 years old, 20 matches, and 3 goals in Serie A this season) has been in discussions with the club’s management for several months regarding a potential contract extension.
However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday, the Italian club is now hesitating about continuing their journey with the French international.
Particularly disappointing this season, the former Madrid player seems “distracted and disengaged,” with notably concerning defensive performances.
Without a rapid improvement in his performances, Milan, currently in 7th place in Serie A, is unlikely to offer him a new deal. In fact, the club is now considering the possibility of Hernandez leaving in the upcoming summer transfer window.
