Paris Saint-Germain has shifted its strategy, now focusing on recruiting promising young talents. Two 17-year-old players are currently under the club’s radar.
After signing Joao Neves, Willian Pacho, and Désiré Doué last summer, Luis Campos, the club’s sporting advisor, is now eyeing two teenage prodigies, according to Foot Mercato.
The first name on PSG’s list is Geovany Quenda, a 17-year-old winger from Portugal playing at Sporting. His impressive performances have caught the attention of PSG scouts.
Competition with Real Madrid
After unsuccessfully attempting to activate Quenda’s €45 million release clause last summer, PSG is expected to make another move for the player in the coming months.
If this deal doesn’t materialize, PSG will turn its attention to Franco Mastantuono, a young Argentine talent at River Plate. The left-footed player is also a priority target for Real Madrid. Both clubs are expected to compete for his signature next summer.
