Currently managing the United States national team, Mauricio Pochettino has never hidden his love for Tottenham Hotspur and still envisions a return to North London in the future.
In an interview with Sky Sports News, the former Chelsea and PSG coach reaffirmed his desire to return to Spurs:
“When I left the club, I said that I would love to come back one day, and that hasn’t changed. I still have that feeling in my heart. We’ll see when the right time comes.”
After taking a break from club management, Pochettino insists he is currently happy and relaxed in his USA role, despite rumors linking him with the England national team job. However, he made it clear that the right time for a return has yet to arrive.
A Well-Timed Break Before a Return to Europe?
“I’m in the United States, so I won’t talk about it too much. But even after six years, five years, I still feel in my heart that, yes, I would love to come back. We’ll see when the time is right, as Daniel (Levy) said.”
With a Premier League comeback looking inevitable, the big question remains: Will Spurs welcome Pochettino back?
