AC Milan is stalling on Mike Maignan’s contract extension, and the French goalkeeper could be on his way out by the end of the season.
The start of 2025 has been rough for Maignan. Once an undisputed starter, the AC Milan shot-stopper now appears closer to an exit. The club has significantly slowed down negotiations for a renewal due to his underwhelming performances and high salary demands, despite the player agreeing to a pay cut.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, if no agreement is reached, Milan will not hesitate to sell Maignan this summer to secure a transfer fee.
Milan seems ready to part ways with its captain. At this point, no one is truly indispensable at the club—and Maignan knows it.
