After a challenging start, Kylian Mbappé has finally found his rhythm at Real Madrid. The French forward, who has scored 7 goals in 10 Champions League matches this season, delivered a sensational performance with a hat-trick against Manchester City (3-1, 3-2 on aggregate) in the playoff second leg, confirming his return to top form since December.
“In Paris, I felt strong, I felt good. But at the beginning in Madrid, it wasn’t quite the same. I think I was trying to find myself a little. I managed to turn things around, and for the past few months, I’ve been showing a much better version of myself. But as I always say, it’s in the second half of the season that you are judged.”
A Locker Room Confident in His Success
Despite the adaptation period, Thibaut Courtois never doubted that Mbappé would find his place at Real Madrid.
“Within the team, everyone was calm about him. There was just outside noise because he arrived as a star. It’s always tough to settle in and immediately score lots of goals. He has already scored a lot, but people expected even more. But we knew it: Kylian is one of the best players in the world.”
With his growing influence, Mbappé now looks fully at home in Madrid, ready to play a key role in Real’s title ambitions.
