After five years with Nike, Liverpool is set to turn a new page in its kit sponsorship. Starting next season, Adidas will take over as the club’s official kit supplier, marking a return for the German brand, which previously partnered with the Reds from 1985 to 1996 and 2006 to 2012.
On Monday, Adidas officially announced a multi-year agreement with Liverpool. The club’s CEO, Billy Hogan, expressed his excitement.
5 year deal
“Everyone at the club is delighted to welcome Adidas back to the LFC family. Together, we’ve achieved great success in the past and created some of the most iconic kits in our history. This is the perfect time to start a new collaboration, and by drawing on our shared legacy, we look forward to designing unforgettable kits while continuing to win on the pitch.”
According to British media, the deal is set for five years, with Liverpool earning around €60 million per season. A strategic partnership that promises to usher in a new era for the club and its supporters.
