Mohamed Salah has matched Sergio Agüero in the Premier League’s all-time top scorers list.
As contract extension talks stall, the Egyptian star continues to shine for Liverpool. Salah scored twice from the penalty spot in Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Southampton on Saturday, further cementing his legacy in English football.
With these two goals, the 32-year-old winger now has 184 Premier League goals in 292 appearances, equaling former Manchester City striker Sergio Agüero at 5th place in the league’s all-time top scorers ranking.
“It’s a Great Milestone”
After the match, Salah responded humbly to his latest achievement: “I didn’t think about it while playing. It’s a great milestone to match him! Sergio is a great player, a Premier League legend. So I’m happy for this moment.”
Agüero reached this mark in 275 games, but with Salah’s current form, he could soon surpass him and climb even higher in the Premier League’s scoring history.
