Real Madrid is gearing up for the summer transfer window, eyeing a major defensive reinforcement.
Contrary to rumors, the Spanish giants are not planning a quiet summer. After struggling with long-term injuries to Éder Militão and David Alaba, Madrid is looking to rejuvenate its backline.
According to The Sun, Real Madrid has stepped up its interest in Dean Huijsen (19, Bournemouth). The Spanish-Dutch center-back, recently called up to the Spanish national team, is also on the radar of Manchester United and PSG.
The youngster, under contract until 2030, has a €60M release clause. When asked about Madrid’s interest, Huijsen told Relevo:
“It’s an honor to have such a big club interested in me. It means you’re doing well.”
An Ambitious Transfer Window for Madrid
In addition to Huijsen, Real Madrid is tracking Ibrahima Konaté, Jarrad Branthwaite, and William Saliba. The club is also interested in Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) to strengthen the right-back position.
With a clear focus on bolstering its squad for continued European dominance, Madrid is set for a competitive transfer window. However, PSG and other top clubs won’t make things easy for Los Blancos.
