Before their 4-1 victory over AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain announced a wave of contract extensions.

Several key players were involved, including young talents Yoram Zague, Ibrahim Mbaye, and Naoufel El Hannach, as well as first-team regulars Achraf Hakimi (2029), Vitinha (2029), and Nuno Mendes (2030). Additionally, head coach Luis Enrique extended his contract until 2027, reinforcing the club’s commitment to a long-term vision.

Hakimi Chooses PSG Over a Reunion with Mbappé

Among these extensions, Achraf Hakimi’s decision stood out. With persistent rumors linking him to Real Madrid, where he could have reunited with Kylian Mbappé, the Moroccan international clarified why he chose to stay in Paris: “The first reason is the ambitious project we have here at the club. Then, there’s the style of football the coach implements—I really enjoy it!”

“And finally, there are still so many goals I want to achieve with Paris Saint-Germain. I also extended my contract because I feel great in this team, and that’s why I always try to give my best for the club.”

These statements, made on PSG’s official website, reaffirm Hakimi’s full commitment to the Parisian project, signaling that a move to Real Madrid is not in his plans—for now.
