FC Barcelona has achieved a significant victory in La Liga, as Dani Olmo will now be able to return to action.

The Spanish Sports Council (CSD) has provisionally approved the registration of Dani Olmo (26 years old, 11 appearances, 5 goals in La Liga this season) and Pau Victor (23 years old, 13 appearances, 2 goals in La Liga this season) to the Barcelona squad.

Due to the “1-1” rule (1 euro spent for every euro earned), Barça couldn’t field these players since January 1st, having failed to meet the financial fair play regulations set by La Liga.

However, the CSD accepted Barcelona’s proposal, which involved giving up the right to exploit their VIP lounges, allowing the club to inject 100 million euros into its finances.

This decision, though, is temporary, as Barcelona’s appeal is still under review.

Dani Olmo and Pau Victor will not be available for Barça’s match against Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday (20:00) in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup. They will, however, be eligible for a possible final on Sunday.
