Paris Saint-Germain is already planning for the future, and Joan Garcia is at the center of their goalkeeping plans. The 23-year-old Espanyol goalkeeper has caught the attention of PSG coach Luis Enrique, who has reportedly given the green light for a €30 million bid, as per Fichajes.
However, PSG is not alone in the race. FC Barcelona, dealing with an injury-prone Marc-André ter Stegen and a short-term Szczesny solution, is also keen on Garcia. Mundo Deportivo states that the young goalkeeper fits the Blaugrana’s needs perfectly, making him a strong candidate for a summer move.
Garcia has been in impressive form this season, making 25 appearances across all competitions. His current release clause is set at €30 million, but it could rise to €35 million if he earns a spot in the Spanish national team. With both PSG and Barcelona determined to strengthen their goalkeeping options, a fierce transfer battle could be on the horizon.
