José Mourinho finds himself in hot water in Turkey. The Galatasaray management has officially announced its intention to file a complaint against José Mourinho, head coach of Fenerbahçe.
The Istanbul club accuses the Portuguese manager of making racist and immoral remarks during Monday’s 0-0 draw between the two teams.
Serious Accusations
“The head coach of Fenerbahçe, José Mourinho, who has repeatedly made disparaging remarks about the Turkish people since arriving in Turkey, has now added inhumane rhetoric to his already immoral statements,” Galatasaray stated in its official release.
The club confirmed that it will be filing a criminal complaint with the public prosecutor, along with official reports to UEFA and FIFA.
Mourinho’s Controversial Statement
After the match, Mourinho allegedly stated that the Galatasaray bench “jumped like monkeys after every good decision” by the referee.
These remarks immediately sparked outrage from Galatasaray, which now seeks disciplinary action against the Portuguese coach.
