Lamine Yamal is set to extend his contract with FC Barcelona until 2030, securing a huge salary increase.
Barcelona is determined to keep its rising star and has made it clear with a long-term commitment. Despite PSG’s substantial offer of over €200 million for the young talent, both the player and the club rejected the proposal.
According to Mundo Deportivo, an agreement has already been reached for Yamal’s contract extension until 2030, which is expected to be officially announced on July 13, his 18th birthday. His salary will naturally see a significant increase, although exact figures remain undisclosed. Currently, he earns €1.5 million per season.
For comparison, Robert Lewandowski earns €26 million per year, while Frenkie de Jong makes €19 million. Yamal’s new salary is expected to align closer to those of the club’s top earners.
With 11 goals and 16 assists in 33 matches this season, Yamal is proving his worth. His market value, already estimated at €180 million, is only set to rise further.
