PSG made two major offers to strengthen their squad: one for Lamine Yamal alone and another for the duo Kvaratskhelia/Osimhen.
PSG no longer seeks big stars but still aimed for big names last summer. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano for Viva El Futbol, Paris Saint-Germain attempted two spectacular signings during the last summer transfer window, making astronomical offers.
The first was for the Barcelona player. PSG reportedly offered €200 million to sign Lamine Yamal. Barcelona immediately rejected the proposal, wanting to keep their player. Yamal is expected to extend his contract when he turns 18.
In another ambitious move, PSG made a €210 million bid for the duo of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen, two offensive stars of SSC Napoli. However, the Italian club decided to reject this proposal, considering these players essential to their sporting project.
PSG went back on the offensive this winter for Kvaratskhelia, while Osimhen was loaned out until the end of the season. The next transfer window could be even more eventful, with PSG still looking for reinforcements to achieve their European ambitions… likely with Victor Osimhen as their main target.
