Jude Bellingham is going through a rough patch with referees, as the Real Madrid midfielder has been handed another suspension, this time in the Champions League.
Just four days after his red card in La Liga against Osasuna (1-1), Bellingham has now been suspended for the Champions League Round of 16 first leg. The English international was booked for a foul on Phil Foden during Real Madrid’s playoff second-leg victory over Manchester City (3-1), picking up his third yellow card of the competition.
As a result, Bellingham will miss the first leg against either Atlético Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen. A significant setback for Real Madrid, who will have to do without one of their most important players.
