Olympique de Marseille is on fire this season, racking up high-scoring victories with multiple five-goal performances.
Under Roberto De Zerbi, Marseille has turned into an attacking powerhouse. Their 5-1 win against Saint-Étienne on Saturday marked their fourth match this season scoring at least five goals, following big wins over Brest (5-1), Montpellier (5-0), and Le Havre (5-1).
Marseille Outshines PSG and the Rest
While Marseille keeps delivering goal-fests, their rivals haven’t been as prolific. PSG, despite their dominance, has only managed two “manitas” this season—against Montpellier (6-0) and Brest (5-2).
Other teams, like Nice (8-0 vs Saint-Étienne), Monaco (7-1 vs Nantes), and Rennes (5-0 vs ASSE), have also pulled off big wins, but only once each. Marseille, however, has made a habit of these offensive masterclasses, establishing themselves as Ligue 1’s most ruthless attacking force.
