Bad news for Arsenal as Kai Havertz will miss the remainder of the 2024-2025 season due to a hamstring injury. The German forward set for surgery and long-term recovery.
The club confirmed in an official statement on Thursday that the German international, who has scored 9 goals in 21 Premier League appearances this season, will require surgery.
“Further assessments and specialist examinations have confirmed that the injury will require surgical intervention, which will take place in the coming days. Shortly after the operation, Kai will begin his rehabilitation program, which is expected to last through the preseason. Everyone at the club is committed to supporting Kai in his recovery to ensure he returns to full fitness as soon as possible,” the statement read.
A major blow for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who will now have to adjust his plans without one of his key attacking options.
