Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo (25 years old) has suffered another injury setback, forcing him to leave the field after just 22 minutes during the match against Sevilla.
The Uruguayan center-back, paired with Íñigo Martínez, was the victim of a harsh tackle from Saúl, who landed on his ankle. Despite attempting to continue, Araujo was unable to carry on and was replaced by Pau Cubarsí.
According to initial medical reports, Araujo is suspected to have a right ankle sprain, as per Spanish media sources. This injury comes at the worst possible time, just as he had regained a starting role under Hansi Flick. A significant setback for both Araujo and FC Barcelona.
