According to journalist Pedro Almeida, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) allegedly began discussions with 39-year-old Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently under contract with Al-Nassr until June 2025.
As Ronaldo approaches his 40th birthday, he is considering his future, with the aim of staying competitive for the 2026 World Cup. Despite strengthening his ties with Saudi Arabia since joining Al-Nassr in January 2023, he could be contemplating new options.
Rumors had surfaced about a potential move to PSG to replace Neymar. However, these speculations were quickly debunked by French sources.
A Groundless Rumor?
Fabrice Hawkins, a journalist at RMC, asserted that there is “no evidence” to suggest PSG’s interest in Ronaldo. PSG insider Djjamel also dismissed the idea, calling it “completely false.”
Meanwhile, the probable departure of Neymar has reignited interest from Al-Hilal in Ronaldo, a move that would mark another milestone for the Saudi Pro League. However, Esteve Calzada, president of Al-Hilal, recently reminded that Ronaldo remains committed to his current contract. Still, recent developments might allow the forward to explore other opportunities, leaving room for uncertain scenarios.
